A detailed competitive research was conducted to understand how leading global brands such as Accenture, Deloitte, and HubSpot use digital eBooks, research reports, and thought leadership content to strengthen brand authority and engage enterprise audiences. The study revealed a growing shift toward editorial-style layouts, data-driven storytelling, bold yet minimal design systems, immersive imagery, and modular content structures that enhance readability while maintaining strong brand consistency. Current design trends also emphasize clean typography, dynamic visual hierarchies, personalized content experiences, and flexible design systems that can adapt across multiple topics and regions. These insights informed the development of Merkle’s eBooks, enabling us to create visually engaging and globally relevant publications while staying aligned with the Merkle brand identity and ensuring a cohesive, premium brand experience across all touchpoints.
The design process began by translating research insights and content objectives into a flexible visual framework aligned with Merkle’s global brand guidelines. Multiple layout explorations, grid systems, color applications, and image treatments were developed to create a balance between consistency and creativity. A strong emphasis was placed on content hierarchy, readability, and visual storytelling to ensure complex information could be communicated clearly and engagingly. Through iterative reviews and refinements, the final eBooks evolved into cohesive digital publications that maintained a premium, corporate aesthetic while adapting to diverse topics, audiences, and market needs.
Following the eBook design phase, the visual system was extended across a range of supporting marketing assets to create a cohesive campaign ecosystem. Key design elements, including typography, color treatments, imagery, and graphic styles, were adapted into digital banners, social media creatives, emailers, landing page assets, and promotional collaterals. This development phase ensured consistency across all customer touchpoints while optimizing each asset for its respective platform and audience. The result was an integrated communication toolkit that amplified the reach of the eBooks and reinforced Merkle’s brand presence across digital channels.
